Ketogenic means "keto producing" and it is called such because the goal is to get your body to breakdown fats for fuel instead of carbohydrates, which results in the production of ketones.

The "keto diet" is arguably one of the trendiest diets around right now. The upside is that there are abundant resources and products available to support a person starting a keto diet, but the downside is that many people like to "try keto" but are overwhelmed and don't know how or where to begin. Please note, KETOSIS (goal of the keto diet) is NOT the same thing as ketoacidosis which is a dangerous metabolic condition. I have been following a keto diet for 3 years with excellent results. It is a diet that requires education to be successful - you cannot do it halfway, especially in the beginning. However, when properly implemented you will see results quickly, and with education and planning you can make this a lifestyle. I am here to help you if you are interested in pursuing the keto diet. We will first discuss your goals. Do you want to lose weight? Have more energy? Improve your mental clarity? All of the above? We will make a plan that is realistic for YOU. It may be that keto is not the best course of action and that's okay too - there are other options that can also get you the results you are seeking. Let's talk, let's plan, let's get started.
How do we begin? We need to start with a personal consultation. This can be done over ZOOM, or preferably, depending on your location, in person. We will discuss goals, discuss your current routine and diet, and make a plan that is realistic, achievable, and sets you up for success. Your start date will be up to you. Once your plan is in place and we begin, I am available to support you and will be checking in daily or weekly, depending on your preference, to help you stay on track.
How soon can I expect results? Every person is different and this will vary, but if you follow the plan we establish faithfully, you will likely notice changes within the first week.
