RN's Perspective on AZUNA

For years I have searched for ways to improve the overall smell of my home. I am married to a man who loves a “clean home” smell and gravitates toward heavily scented cleaning/laundering products. As an RN who has studied the effects of artificial fragrances on our endocrine and respiratory systems, I knew some education was necessary to get him on board with my quest to care for our home naturally and avoid synthetics. Though I have used plug-ins, toilet gels, laundry scent boosters, etc. in the past, my research has spurred me to abandon these artificial fragrances because we know they are linked to poor health outcomes, respiratory complications, hormonal disruptions, particularly in vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly.
Our nasal passages are highly vascular; inhaled substances hit the bloodstream very quickly (think of laughing gas or helium) and then are carried throughout the central nervous system (brain/spinal cord). So that whiff of fake fragrance goes to your bloodstream, lungs, brain, and organs FAST. Early puberty, low testosterone, and mood disorders, not to mention a myriad of respiratory problems have all been linked to synthetic fragrances. Many of them are banned in other countries due to their health risks. So, what can we do?
Enter Azuna.
